Building public trust in bioeconomy workshop

SurfToGreen and SURFs UP organize the workshop Building public trust in bioeconomy: Safe and Sustainable by Design approaches

10th December 2025, 11:30 – 13:00 CET, online

The EU projects SurfToGreen and SURFs UP will address how to strengthen public trust in biobased innovation, by considering safety, environmental and societal impacts since the early stages of development.

The goal is to compare needs, methods, tools and practices for Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) and impact assessment, to discuss the role of stakeholder engagement in building public trust in the bioeconomy, and to increase awareness of barriers and opportunities to develop biosurfactants across the value chain.

We will present testimonials from experts in biobased research, safety, sustainability and public engagement.

The workshop is free of charge – Registration is mandatory
